Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support our DoD customer in conducting Space Domain Awareness and satellite operations support; Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A), and testing, deploying and operating sensor data handling and processing tools, and developing procedures to help that customer expand their operational capabilities using an Agile approach. This work will also entail regular analysis and operations support for real-world and exercise activities. Reporting to the Trusted Space Director of Onsite Operations, the successful candidate will be part of an Agile development team, contributing to the development of new and existing capabilities to accomplish the clients’ missions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a part of a diverse team of Software, Aerospace, and System Engineers to solve challenging problems related to Space Domain Awareness. The successful candidate will also work as a member of an Agile team using various Open Source and Commercial technologies to field solutions that help solve the customer’s diverse problem sets. Primary daily work location is on customer site in Colorado Springs, CO, with occasional remote work required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering (preferred) or related engineering discipline 
  • This position requires the candidate to have an active TS/SCI security clearance 
  • 4+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering or closely related technical field 
  • Practical background in astronomy, optical sensors, and/or passive radio frequency collection
  • Familiarity with current DoD, Intelligence Community and Commercial space sensors 
  • Experience operating, testing and validating aerospace software tools
  • Experience working with aerospace related datasets and orbits 
  • 4+ years’ experience in the field of space domain awareness, 2+ years specifically in analysis of RSOs in various regimes and/or support to satellite operations 
  • Experience in one or more government, DoD or IC operations centers 
  • Ability to generate decision-level products for coordination with govt officials.
  • Good interpersonal & presentation skills for interaction w/all levels of technical community management 
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, process-oriented, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work with diverse and distributed teams 
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with the Agile Manifesto and experience working on teams using Agile processes 
  • 4+ years’ experience in the collection, processing and analysis of data to produce actionable information 
  • Practical knowledge of relevant domain R&D activity

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires the candidate to have an active TS/SCI security clearance 

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
