The Coker University Department of Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry beginning August 2025. This 9-month tenure track position reports to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences and includes competitive salary and benefits.
Preferred qualifications include an earned Ph.D. (ABD will be considered) in chemistry, with teaching responsibilities to include organic chemistry, general chemistry, biochemistry, and physical science. The primary responsibilities of the position include face-to-face teaching assignments at the undergraduate level and advising/mentoring students in an active undergraduate research program. Opportunities for online (credentialing preferred) and hybrid teaching are also possible.
