Midori Matcha specializes in Organic Japanese Matcha and soft serve, a place of heritage with a modern twist. As a   Midori Matcha Master, you'll create the   Midori Experience   for our customers through authentic and heartwarming customer service. You’ll be in a calm but energetic store environment in DTLA, Little Tokyo, where you’ll have the ability to create food & beverages and meet new people every day.

This is a   tip eligible position   with high hourly tip.

You'd make a great Matcha Master if you:

· Have a focus on quality, high level of attention to details, and take pride in your work.

· Consider yourself a “people person,” and enjoy meeting others.

· Understand how to create a great customer service experience with a keen eye to detail.

· Passionate and interested in Matcha and tea in general.

· Can keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment.

· Can maintain an efficient, clean and organized workspace.

· Are comfortable with responsibilities like dealing with challenging customer service situations.

Basic Qualifications

· Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality

· Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays

· Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety.

· Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication

· Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients

· Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift e.g. restocking inventory, general washing and cleaning, store opening and closing

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Ability to learn quickly, understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.

· Supervisory experience is a plus. Potential to be promoted as shift lead with solid performance demonstrated.

· Ability to work independently and on solo if requried

· Strong work ethic. Committed to the success of the business

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships

· 1 year of relevant experience is preferred

· Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 30lbs on an occasional basis
