Job Description

Summary: The bookkeeper is to provide bookkeeping services to the Parish on a part-time basis. Flexible Schedule Essential Duties:

  1. Process invoices for payment and generate checks for payments of invoices. Work with department heads and volunteers to insure that parish accounting policies are followed
  2. Prepare deposits of all cash receipts of the Parish
  3. Records and maintains journal entries, general ledger and accounts payable
  4. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  5. Oversee and verify the volunteer counting of Sunday collections. Also record and reconcile online giving
  6. Record donations in parish management software
  7. Prepare, process and maintain payroll
