 Position:  Production/Broadcast Engineer 
  Location:  Stamford, CT 
  Schedule:  10-hour shifts (Wed-Sat or Sun-Wed), 8 AM-6 PM or 9 AM-7 PM (shift subject to change)
The Production/Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for providing front-line broadcast engineering and technical support across multiple studios and control rooms within the Stamford Sports facility. The role involves supporting all broadcast systems and technology for live day-of-air programs, troubleshooting hardware and systems, complying with computer security policies, and managing projects that include system design, integration, and commissioning. This position requires a combination of maintenance and project management/system engineering skills. The support needs span seven days a week, with certain periods requiring availability as part of a 24x7 schedule.
Perform system-level troubleshooting of technical facilities, including control rooms, studio equipment, audio equipment, and associated computer systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance on studio and control room equipment.
Assist Studio Operations with technical setup in control rooms and studios.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement technical solutions that meet production initiatives.
Install and update equipment and systems software.
Repair and troubleshoot equipment to the module level using industry-standard test equipment.
Manage projects, design systems, and assist with system integration and commissioning.
2+ years of experience in a television broadcast environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
BS degree in Engineering, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Proficiency with broadcast production systems and software, including audio consoles, intercom systems, video switchers, wireless audio, server-based playout, and test and measurement equipment.
Understanding of TCP/IP networks.
Knowledge of digital TV (HDSDI).
Proficiency in software-driven broadcast video equipment.
Ability to read and understand system signal flow diagrams for television control room and studio facilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under the pressures of live television.
Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with broadcast-related equipment and systems.
Understanding of the urgent needs of on-air sports and the ability to remain productive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Ability to support a 24x7 production environment.
Willingness and ability to learn new production technologies.
Preferred experience in live production environments.
Knowledge of computer server installation and maintenance.

Proficient in Chyron graphic systems

Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to diplomatically engage with colleagues across various departments
Willingness to work overtime, including nights and weekends.
Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
On-Site Requirement: This position must be performed full-time from a designated worksite.

Team works collaboratively across multiple functions, including transmission, systems engineering, post-production, and graphics.
Position & Day-to-Day:
Day-to-day support including break/fix troubleshooting for EVS, studios, and production control rooms.
Work independently and in groups on both project-based and operational tasks.
Daily routine includes walking through all control rooms, checking in with directors/TMs, performing maintenance, cleaning, call support, and assisting with environmental updates.
Must handle emergency situations as they arise.
