Job Description:

The State of Michigan is seeking a Business Analyst 5 to support the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) in gathering and documenting clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to analyze existing and future-state business processes, ensuring alignment with IT solutions and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements in accordance with DTMB and MGCB policies.
  
• Facilitate requirement gathering meetings with relevant stakeholders and project teams.
  
• Maintain the project backlog during Agile projects, working with the product owner to set priorities.
  
• Monitor project scope and requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  
• Ensure stakeholder awareness of data requirements and governance objectives.
  
• Assist in resolving critical IT issues related to business analysis functions.
  
• Support the decision-making process for Build vs. Buy project considerations.
  
• Ensure completion and approval of Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables.
  
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to align business requirements with project execution.
  
• Work closely with project teams, including UI/UX designers, solution architects, developers, QA testers, and technical writers.
