We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Puller to support operations for telecommunications projects, with a focus on K-12 educational facilities.

About the Role

As a Cable Puller at The Archetype Strategy, you will be a key part of our operational team, ensuring the seamless execution of cabling and equipment installation. This role involves structured cabling, installing Wireless Access Points (WAPs), and mounting projectors in educational and commercial environments. The position requires a commitment to quality, adherence to strategic project plans, and collaboration with the broader team to meet client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the installation, routing, and securing of telecommunications cables, including fiber optic, CAT5/6, and other low-voltage cabling, in accordance with operational strategies and project requirements.
  • Install and configure Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to achieve optimal network performance and connectivity.
  • Mount and securely hang projectors in commercial settings, ensuring alignment with client needs and safety standards.
  • Review and implement project blueprints, schematics, and strategic plans for cabling and equipment placement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet deadlines and operational milestones.
  • Identify and resolve connectivity or equipment issues with a strategic and proactive approach.
  • Maintain detailed records of completed work, including testing results and adherence to operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cable pulling, telecommunications installation, or similar roles.
    • Demonstrated success in projects involving WAP installations and projector mounting, particularly in K-12 environments.
  • Knowledge :
    • Comprehensive understanding of structured cabling systems, telecommunications standards, and strategic deployment methods.
    • Familiarity with installation standards for low-voltage systems, WAPs, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Skills :
    • Proficiency in cable pulling, termination, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Ability to use tools such as fish tapes, crimpers, pull rods, and mounting hardware effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications such as BICSI Installer, OSHA 10/30, or telecommunications-related credentials are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements :
    • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in physically demanding environments.
    • Comfortable with heights, confined spaces, and prolonged physical activity.
  • Other Requirements :
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
    • Strong commitment to operational excellence and strategic implementation.
