We need people who want to join an ambitious program that continues to push the state of the art in distributed systems and hardware design.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, as a CNC Prototyping Engineer (Mill-Turn), you will work closely with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Research teams to develop functional prototypes of complex electro/mechanical systems. You will drive technical innovation of prototyping processes and exhibit consistent high-level of quality and speed. The desired candidate will have experience in a fast paced machining environment and will have the ability to respond quickly to interruptions and requests to support test teams. This position requires strong conceptual development and the proficient use, and implementation, of various manufacturing processes within a prototyping environment. The desired candidate will also help to develop strategies that can be applied to scale products in an efficient manner.Export Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.About the teamThe Prototyping and Integration Team accelerates hardware development via manufacturing and integration of new-to-world products. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
