Job Title: Collections Inventory Assistant

Holocaust Museum LA is seeking a highly organized Collections Inventory Assistant to join our team on a temporary part-time basis (3 full days a week) for approximately 6-months, to contribute to a pivotal project that will shape the future of the Museum’s archival collection. This role is instrumental in preparing the Museum’s primary source holdings for a move, ensuring their preservation, accessibility, and accurate documentation.
The Collections Inventory Assistant will work under the guidance of the Vice President of Collections and Exhibits; the Collections Manager; and Archive team. This position offers a unique opportunity to support a critical initiative that safeguards the legacy and stories held within the Museum’s archives, reinforcing the Museum’s mission to educate and inspire.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
· Experience or coursework in museum studies, library science, or a related field preferred.
· Familiarity with collections management software (e.g. Collector Systems, PastPerfect, TMS, or similar) is a plus.
· Detail oriented with strong organization and time-management skills.
· Ability to handle delicate artifacts with care and precision.
· Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
· Availability to work on-site three days per week.
WORKING SCHEDULE:
Approximately 23 hours a week between Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. (Days are flexible.)
SALARY: $20.00/hour
