**Join Our Team as a Commercial Properties Bookkeeper!**

We are excited to announce an opening for a Commercial Properties Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at our corporate offices located near Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike. **Responsibilities:**

As a Commercial Properties Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

- Recording transactions to general ledger accounts by analyzing invoices.
- Reviewing commercial leases and processing monthly billing for tenants according to lease terms.
- Diligently following up on obtaining tenants' certificates of insurance.
- Scheduling and preparing checks to pay vendors.
- Processing tenant payments and monitoring accounts for delinquency.
- Corresponding with tenants, utility companies, vendors, and executive staff to ensure the efficient operation of multiple commercial properties.
- Maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures for internal control compliance.
- Controlling and maintaining the accounting filing system.
- Preparing journal entries, including prepaid and accrued expenses.
- Performing various ad hoc tasks as assigned by members of the management staff.

**Requirements:**

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
- Experience working within the commercial property or real estate development industries (strong plus).
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software (strong plus).
- Experience working with commercial tenants, leases, correspondence, common area maintenance charges & reconciliation (strong plus).
- Prior professional accounting experience is a strong plus; however, candidates who demonstrate a good work ethic, strong attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently multitask will be given equal consideration.
- Must be punctual, responsible, dependable, and reliable.
- Ability to effortlessly switch gears at a moment's notice and wear many hats.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and assist co-workers when required.
