Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Content Creator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies. As a Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging, high-quality content that resonates with our target Christian audience across various platforms, including websites, blogs, and social media channels.

Essential Responsibilities You'll Own

• Develop and write compelling content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives.
• Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to ensure accuracy and relevance in all written materials.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create content strategies that enhance brand awareness and drive engagement.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, grammar, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and improve organic reach.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Create visually appealing content using Adobe Creative Suite tools, including photography and video editing when necessary.
• Engage with audiences on social media platforms to promote content and foster community interaction.

Prerequisites

• Have a solid understanding and developed sensibility towards art direction (photography, typography, color theory, layout, video) and copy development
• Be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite or similar content creation platforms
• Possess and encourage high degrees of initiative, accountability, and creativity
• Work well as part of a team, but also be action-oriented as an individual
• Preferably, an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as advertising, art, marketing, design, film, or writing preferred. 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, promotions, marketing, advertising, or editing may substitute for formal training
• Passion for and willing to commit to Abyssinian Baptist Church's core values, vision, and mission

Experience

• Proven experience as a Content Creator/Content Writer or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing writing samples across various formats.
• Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and e-commerce trends is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, particularly in video editing and graphic design.
• Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail to ensure error-free content.
• Ability to adapt writing style based on target audience while maintaining brand consistency.
• Experience in creating engaging content that effectively communicates complex ideas in an accessible manner.
