Role summary

As the Barebells Content Creator, you’ll be in the driver’s seat as you conceptualize, create, and publish out-of-this-world video content for our social media accounts, such as Instagram and TikTok. You’ll work closely with the entire marketing team to craft viral-worthy content that leaves an impression on viewers, driving awareness, engagement and brand loyalty. We’re looking for that person who quickly identifies trends, oozes creative ideas (and can turn them into stellar content), and is always ready with a camera to dive in!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Own the content strategy + creation - always pushing the boundaries and being ahead of other brands. Plan, shoot, edit, and post high-quality videos that are engaging, shareable, and aligned with the Barebells brand voice. Confident and excited about being in front of the camera.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, challenges, and viral content to ensure our videos are timely and relevant. Must have a keen interest in pop culture, memes, and internet trends that shape online communities.
  • Creativity: Plan new content ideas, campaigns, and video formats to increase engagement and attract new followers. Be able to consistently think outside of the box.
  • Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments, and foster a positive community around our brand on social media.
  • Collaborations: Work with influencers, creators, and internal teams to develop exciting collaborative content.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze video performance metrics (likes, shares, comments, engagement rate) to continuously optimize content strategy.
  • Brand Consistency : Ensure all content maintains the voice, tone, and aesthetic of the brand, while also adapting to (for example TikTok’s) informal and dynamic platform.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proven Experience: 2-3 years of experience creating viral, quality content for TikTok or other social media platforms.
  • Strong Understanding of Social Media In-depth knowledge of for example Instagram Reels and TikTok’s features, trends, filters, music, and best practices.
  • Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and come up with fun, innovative content ideas that resonate with a young and diverse audience.
  • Video Editing Skills: Proficiency with video editing tools (TikTok’s native editor, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting engaging captions and messaging.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with the expectation of posting daily.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfort with analyzing performance data to understand trends and optimize future content.
  • Experience with Other Social Platforms: Possess a working knowledge of YouTube Shorts, Meta, Snap, and additional social platforms.

Travel: 40-50% during peak months/events
