The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets, have a solid understanding of statistical concepts like standard deviations and normal distribution curves, and possess familiarity with industry standards related to ad measurement, including Media Ratings Council (MRC) invalid traffic rules and filters. This position will play a crucial role in driving data-driven insights to optimize advertising performance and ensure compliance with measurement standards.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform in-depth statistical analysis to understand data trends, anomalies, and performance metrics.
    • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate findings, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Apply statistical concepts (e.g., standard deviation, normal distribution, correlation) to validate data quality and identify patterns.
  • Ad Measurement & Performance Tracking:

    • Collaborate with internal teams to measure and analyze the performance of digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., display, video, social media).
    • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of campaign metrics, including click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, viewability, and other KPIs.

    • Monitor and identify potential sources of invalid traffic, such as bots and fraudulent impressions, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
    • Work with engineering and product teams to implement best practices for filtering and detecting invalid traffic across measurement platforms.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data science, product, and engineering, to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
    • Present findings to non-technical stakeholders and help guide decision-making processes with data-driven insights.
    • Educate and support internal teams on ad measurement techniques, MRC standards, and statistical methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on SQL, statistical analysis, and ad measurement.
    • Familiarity with Media Ratings Council (MRC) standards and experience implementing filters for invalid traffic detection.
    • Proven ability to work with complex datasets and understand their implications for digital advertising measurement.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced SQL skills, with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis using tools such as R, Python, or similar.
    • Familiarity with ad measurement tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Statistical Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of statistical principles, including normal distribution, standard deviation, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
    • Ability to apply statistical methods to assess data validity, outliers, and trends.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Understanding of digital advertising metrics (e.g., CPC, CPM, CPA, CTR) and the digital advertising ecosystem.
    • Knowledge of MRC standards and best practices for managing invalid traffic and ensuring reliable measurement.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with big data platforms and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data solutions).
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts or predictive modeling is a plus.
  • A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
