Director of Sales Engineering

Location: San Jose, CA OR remote US

Base Salary: $160-200K+ $50-65K in commission component

Base Requirements: Solutions Engineering/Sales Engineering for Network Solutions (I.e. Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Brocade, F5, Huawei, Aruba Etc)

Position Overview

The Director of Sales Engineering will lead the sales engineering team in providing technical expertise and support to enterprise customers and the sales organization. This role is focused on enhancing the sales process through effective training, understanding market trends, and developing technical proposal strategies to meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the sales engineering team, ensuring alignment with sales goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement technical design proposals to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
• Provide training and support to the sales team on product features, benefits, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development.
• Create and deliver presentations and demonstrations for customers and prospects to showcase product capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in sales, systems or solutions engineering role, with a proven track record in a leadership position.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
• Solutions Engineering/Sales Engineering for Network Solutions (I.e. Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Brocade, F5, Huawei, Aruba Etc)
