TEKsystems is seeking experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technicians to support the rebuild of our Nashville office. This technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems. Additional experience with Access Control Systems, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom systems is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities + Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new system installations + Perform point-to-point troubleshooting on Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom systems + Communicate clearly with project leads and clients regarding project status, challenges, and timelines + Assist with installation projects and ensure successful execution + Identify and report installation or system issues + Review contract and design documents for accuracy prior to installation + Perform inspections to ensure code compliance + Complete detailed project reports + Respond to emergency service calls + Maintain strong written and verbal communication with clients and team members + Demonstrate attention to detail and timely resolution of customer needs + Work shift times as assigned by the SPM or GM + Participate in a rotating on-call schedule + Maintain regular, in-person attendance during business hours and as needed + Perform other duties as assigned Top Skills We're Looking For + Fire Alarm + Alarm Installation + Troubleshooting + Alarms + Service + Cat6 + Honeywell + Install Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of low voltage systems including Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom + Strong technical and computer skills + Effective written and verbal communication + Ability to use lifts and ladders for elevated work + Experience with hand tools and multi-meters + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals + Comfortable reporting to a Project Manager and following instructions Experience Level Intermediate Level - Ideal for technicians with a solid foundation and leadership experience in fire alarm and low voltage systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
