SUMMARY

Perform massage, body and hydrotherapy treatments, facials, waxing services, and provide personal attention to each guest.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Wage: 36% commission for massage therapy services provided & 37% for esthetics services provided. Massage hourly average equivalent for commission ranges from $41.00 - $47.14. Esthetician hourly average equivalent for commission ranges from $47.43 - 65.19. 
• Tips
• Retail commission of 15% of retail sales
• Training and meeting hours paid at a range of $16.28 - $16.28/hour
• Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing gorup plans
• Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan
• 52 hours of sick pay accrued each year based on an employee working 40 hours/week
• 36 hours of paid time off accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours/week

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform various types of massage treatments i.e., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, etc.
• Perform various types of esthetics services including facials and waxing services
• Prepare facial and waxing equipment, treatment areas and supplies daily, sterilize all instruments in accordance to the law, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts
• Prepare and maintain treatment area supplies daily
• Ensure the privacy of each guest
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of facility
• Promote and sell skincare, massage, and body products
• Attend departmental staff meetings as requested
• Attend product knowledge training as required
• Perform special tasks as requested by the Spa Manager or Spa Director

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in all components of massage, body and hydrotherapy, i.e., anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in performing a variety of body treatments in addition to being well versed in new developments, i.e., Exfoliations, masks, body polish, herbal wraps, etc.
• Proficiency in all facets of proper skin care i.e., anatomy, physiology, chemistry, masks, packs, cleansing, massage, and superfluous hair removal.
• Proficiency with HydraFacial and microcurrent techonology is a must
• Valid WA State Massage License and Esthetician Licenses
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience as an esthetician and 2 years previous experience as a massage therapist
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Weekend schedule availability

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $16.28/Hr. - $65.19/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
