We have been retained by our client, a well-established Sitework General Contractor in the greater Houston area, to find a General Superintendent . This individual will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities related to the execution of paving and asphalt projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Duties:
- Oversee and manage field operations for all paving and asphalt projects.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
- Lead safety initiatives, ensuring all teams adhere to OSHA and safety standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct quality control checks and resolve any issues related to project scope or workmanship.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Construction, Engineering or Architecture is preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a General Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and ensure project success.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
