GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS) SPECIALIST
TOWN OF WESTWOOD
The Town of Westwood seeks a GIS Specialist to work as part of a collaborative team to manage and analyze spatial data, create compelling maps and visualizations, and support the development of GIS-based solutions. The position plays a key role in providing geographic insights that drive decision-making and innovation across various projects. This is a hybrid/remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cartography or a GIS-related field (Geography, Engineering, Planning, etc.); thorough knowledge of ESRI’s ArcGIS desktop software; minimum of one year of experience in GIS database development and maintenance in a multi-user environment; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; and excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server, ESRI JavaScript API, and Microsoft SQL Server is desired.
