The State of Michigan is looking for: GIS Analyst
- Interviews: Interviews will be held in-person. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
- Duration: 1 year with extension likely
- Position location: Lansing, MI. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week (onsite days are typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

A minimum of two years of professional experience is required in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.
Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet user needs in addition to performing complex spatial analyses and producing reports according to customer specifications.
• ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal Experience
• Experience Builder Skill
• Dashboard Skill
• FME or Data Interoperability extension (This experience is a plus)
Assist in the development of geographic information systems that create, maintain, or leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Create Basemaps
• Create Tile Cache
• Imagery analysis
Conduct geographic information system (GIS) program activities, utilizing GIS hardware and software to produce maps, spatial databases and thematic data (such as wetlands, road centerlines, cadastre, and historic sites).
• Experience with ArcPro is required.
• Spatial Analyst experience is a plus.
• Experience with web services is required.
• Experience with Esri Enterprise (SDE via Catalog) databases a plus.
Create, adjust, correct, convert and distribute base maps and thematic data.
• This role will need to produce maps in ArcPro as needed and provide/publish them in digital, paper and web (AGOL) formats.
Digitize and maintain spatial databases; document procedures, validate data for accuracy and completeness, complete approved metadata forms and produce maps of the resulting information.
• Update and maintain metadata for new and existing open data items.
Evaluate information and data from outside sources to determine the quality of the data.
• This skill should be able to utilize Esri and other tools to determine data quality.
Act as a "consultant" to internal customers during their use, development and quality assessment of spatial databases
• Provide EGLE User support as needed
