Job Description

RISD is seeking a passionate Health Educator to join our dynamic team committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our diverse community. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health education programs tailored to the needs of the student community.
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and group sessions on various health topics such as nutrition, mental health, and sexual health.
  • Create and distribute educational materials, including brochures, newsletters, and online content.
  • Collaborate with campus organizations and local health agencies to promote health initiatives and resources.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of health programs to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and support to students seeking guidance on health-related issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest health trends and research to inform program development and community outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in health education or a similar role, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health issues affecting college-aged students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging educational content and programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in program management and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using technology and social media for health education outreach.
