Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Cerner HIM Analyst to support the configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Cerner Health Information Management modules. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing medical records workflows, release of information, chart corrections, deficiency management, and other HIM functions within the Cerner Millennium platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain Cerner HIM modules, including Chart Correction, Deficiency Management, and Document Quality Review
Collaborate with medical records, clinical, and IT teams to understand workflow needs and system enhancements
Troubleshoot HIM-related issues and provide timely resolution
Implement system upgrades, patches, and optimization projects
Develop documentation, training materials, and provide support to HIM staff
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, JCI, etc.) and organizational policies
Participate in go-lives, testing, and change control processes
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Cerner HIM solutions (Chart Correction, Deficiency Management, Release of Information)
Familiarity with Cerner tools like PowerChart, Discern Rules, and CCL
Knowledge of clinical documentation workflows and regulatory compliance for health information
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
