Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Technician - Supervisor to lead a small team on our 2nd shift. This role involves overseeing injection molding operations, including mold changes, to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of 2-3 injection molding technicians on the 2nd shift.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
• Responsible for efficient and accurate mold changes as part of production requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout shift operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on molds and machinery.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to solve production issues.
• Maintain comprehensive production and maintenance records.
• Implement company policies and strive for process improvements and efficiency.
• Monitor shift performance and promote improvements in efficiency and output.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in plastics or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience in injection molding, with experience in mold changes and supervisory roles.

• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
