Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Inside Technical Sales Manager is responsible for leading and mentoring the inside sales team. The Sales Manager will establish sales goals and quotas, analyze data, and develop an Annual Corporate Sales Plan.

  • Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute corporate sales goals.
  • Manage the team by focusing on maximizing sales revenue and meeting corporate-set goals.
  • Develop specific plans to ensure both long-term and short-term growth.
  • Educate and train the sales team.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to coordinate business development activities.
  • Review marketing initiatives and facilitate their implementation through the sales team.
  • Coordinate with the pricing team regarding inventory pricing.
  • Coordinate with the operations team regarding accurate lead times for product.
  • Manage employee coaching, performance, productivity/efficiency, and time and attendance through Proliant.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; MBA Preferred.
  • 3-5 years of field sales experience, preferably in the industrial electrical industry.
  • Experience in planning & implementing sales strategies, customer relationship management, and managing and directing a sales team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Proven track record of sales and customer service success.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other technology tools for sales planning and communication.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
