We Are Brookfield Properties:

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office division in New York City as an Accounting/FP&A Intern for Summer 2025. Our internship program lasts 12 weeks and includes many exciting training and development opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support U.S. Office FP&A team in preparing monthly and quarterly deliverables, forecasting, capital planning, and actuals analysis
  • Assist with the Annual Budget process including modelling revenues, reviewing expenses, reconciling Cash Flows, and preparing deliverables
  • Interact with various teams throughout the region including Property Management, Lease Administration, Asset Management and Construction
  • Accurately track and report on hours worked on assignments
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as required

Your Qualifications:

  • Rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting with an interest in commercial real estate
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.3
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to succeed in a team environment
  • Must be available to work onsite throughout the duration of the internship and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and be self-motivated with a positive attitude
