A well-established company in the Manufacturing - Industrial Machinery & Equipment industry is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Application Sales Engineer to join our client's team. The company provides services to industrial plants, commercial buildings, chemical plants, power stations, and water and sewage treatment plants. You will work collaboratively with engineers and service professionals to solve problems. You will conduct product presentations and demonstrations to enhance engineers and service professionals to solve problems. Responsibilities:
Initiate proactive communication with clients via phone and email to ensure exceptional customer service
Serve as a knowledgeable customer resource, addressing inquiries, providing comprehensive product information, and resolving technical concerns related to industrial pumps
Collaborate closely with the sales team to align customer needs, contribute technical insights, and enhance overall account management strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information, pricing details, and order records in the system
Assist outside salespersons by providing relevant information from customer interactions and contribute to the refinement of sales strategies
Skillset:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Application Engineer or Inside Sales Engineer working for a pump manufacturer or distributor, with experience in engineering calculations on products
In-depth understanding of industrial pumps to offer expert advice on product applications, technical specifications, and tailored solutions
Strong client engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent technical expertise to address customer inquiries and resolve technical concerns effectively
Strong collaboration skills to work closely with the sales team and contribute valuable insights
Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy in customer account information and order records
Sales support experience is a plus
