Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

About The Job:

In this role, you will Support the Infrastructure Architecture Teams as we begin to establish the organization to bring an HPC from Infancy to Enterprise through Digital Transformation Initiatives. You will identify and support our developer requirements and uncover solutions for server hardware, recommend, plan and drive these solutions to Production.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Install computer hardware.
  • Maintain inventories for all the items ordered.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Knowledge and curiosity about networking and storage.
  • Operating System installation of different Linux Flavors
  • Apply their attention to detail to generate HW BOMs for the HPC Clusters, provide vendor management and coordinate HW release activities.
  • Work on initial documentation setup for different program as needed by team members.
  • Help shipping items and receiving items for different programs in AA.
  • Communicate clearly what has been received to purchasing to ensure hardware orders tracking is streamlined.
  • Help with HW qualification as needed.
  • 25% Travel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge about Linux OS with interest to learn.
  • Server/Computer Hardware Experience.
  • Have a clear understanding of Networking.
  • Ability to tackle bugs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a good knowledge on server hardware.
  • Prometheus & Grafana experience
  • AS or BS degree or equivalent experience + 1 to 3 years of Computer Hardware/Software.
  • Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineer related fields
