Job Description

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Academic Program Coordinator will be responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of the Junior Doctors Academy (middle school) and Doctors Academy (high school) Program curriculum and program activities at selected sites. We are currently seeking an individual to support our programming with Caruthers Unified School District.

The Academic Program Coordinator will have advanced knowledge in academic preparation and health pathway programs and experience working with a diverse student population. The Academic Program Coordinator will establish new relationships and maintain existing organizational relationships with health care partners, K to 14, and higher education institutions. The Academic Program Coordinator will have a strong background in social determinants of health, social emotional development to support pre-health students, and be required to balance coordination duties with academic advising support for students. The Academic Program Coordinator duties will require advanced knowledge of implementing systems and procedures to track and report data, for the purpose of increasing programmatic outcomes of participating students and stakeholders. The Academic Program Coordinator will be responsible for supervising participating students in their program activities, such as summer clinical placements.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $143,800 (Annual Rate). Please note that the final pay range will be between the entry and mid-level range, based on the current department's budget.
