Labor Attorney

Based in Elmsford, NY

Teamsters Local 456, representing members in Westchester and Putnam Counties, is seeking a Labor Attorney to join its Legal Department. Applicant should have a commitment to the labor movement, with experience in labor relations, contract negotiation, grievance arbitration, and processing improper practice charges and representation proceedings. Experience before the New York State Public Employment Relations Board a plus. Local 456 is an equal opportunity employer and offers a competitive salary and excellent benefit package. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on employment and labor law issues.
• Draft and negotiate contracts.
• Experience in contract administration
• Provide legal advice on labor relations and employment matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for dispute resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of legal proceedings and client communications.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting public sector labor issues.
• Other Various Tasks related to the furtherance of the labor movement.
• Organizational Skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
