Your Opportunity For Impact

NetDocuments is seeking a legally trained and tech-savvy Legal Consultant to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our customers’ legal needs and our cutting-edge AI and automation solutions. As a trusted advisor to customers and a strategic partner to our technical team, you will ensure that AI-powered tools and document automation workflows align with real-world legal use cases. Your legal background, combined with a strong understanding of how technology can enhance legal operations, will be essential in delivering high-impact, tailored solutions.

What Your Contributions Will Be

  • Serve as a legal subject matter expert in customer engagements to identify opportunities for applying AI and automation to legal workflows
  • Translate legal use cases into product implementation plans in collaboration with engineers and developers
  • Design and refine legally accurate and context-aware AI prompts that enhance solution effectiveness
  • Participate in customer discovery sessions to assess current processes and propose tailored solutions using NetDocuments' AI and automation capabilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical implementation reflects legal nuance and user needs
  • Provide strategic input on product features and enhancements from a legal workflow perspective
  • Support the development and documentation of best practices for legal-focused AI applications
  • Stay informed on industry trends in legal tech and generative AI to advise customers and improve offerings
  • Strong relationship-building skills with legal and technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure legal soundness in AI-assisted applications
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Drive successful adoption and continuous improvement of AI-based solutions; consult and advise on change management at the firm.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience: 

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal background
  • 3+ years of experience practicing law in medium to large firms
  • 3+ years experience in legal services with a clear understanding of legal terminology and workflows
  • Familiarity with AI models and prompt engineering in legal contexts
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, customer-facing environments

Compensation Transparency

The annual compensation range for this position is: $135,000 - $145,000

The posted cash compensation for this position includes on target earnings, base salary and variable if applicable. Some roles may qualify for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are determined based on various factors specific to each candidate, such as career level, skills, experience, geographic location, qualifications, and other job-related considerations
