Partnering with a hospital in northern Maine that has an opening for an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage.
Provide prompt and expert medical evaluation and stabilization in an emergency setting near Indianapolis, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Execute advanced clinical interventions and procedures in line with established emergency medicine protocols and best practices.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in the management of acute medical emergencies, including life-threatening conditions and complex trauma cases.
Adhere to institutional policies and legal requirements, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and ethical practice.
Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
Opportunity Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6-6
No call shifts
Multiple site locations
Annual Volume: ~11,000-14,000
Daily Census: 24-42 patients
7-12 bed ED
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified

Possession of current board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
Valid medical licensure in Maine or the ability to obtain one swiftly is essential.
A demonstrated record of adaptability and proficiency in dynamic emergency department settings is expected.
Proven expertise in managing diverse and acute clinical presentations under high-pressure conditions is preferred.
Strong communication skills and collaborative qualities are indispensable for effective interdisciplinary teamwork.
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment is mandatory.
Familiarity with contemporary electronic health record systems and medical technologies is highly advantageous.
