General Summary:

In this role, you will lead Shopper Marketing for our Meals and Beverage Division working on household staple brands like Prego Italian Sauce, Mexican Sauce and V8 Beverages.  You will be leading both brand and retailer thinking on how to celebrate the rich history of these brands in cultural moments like Thanksgiving while also modernizing the brands and making them critical ingredients in shoppers everyday routine cooking behaviors.  You will be partnering closely with up to 15 key customers across Mass, Grocery, Club and Pure Play to build bold, disruptive plans that resonate with their shoppers, drive consideration and trial of our brands, leverage their growing retailer media platform capabilities, and use data and analytics to continuously optimize and strengthen our strategies.

In this role you will be reporting to a Senior Manager, Shopper Marketing and part of a larger team focused on Omni Marketing and E-Commerce Strategies.

This role requires a high degree of collaboration and ability to influence, working closely with brand marketing, integrated marketing, customer teams, shopper insights, sales strategy, and external agency partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the creation, execution, and continuous optimization of large-scale shopper marketing programs that support brand business objectives
  • Actively partner with marketing (Brand and Integrated Marketing) to understand their priorities, lead their thinking on the role shopper marketing plays in supporting their objectives and integrate campaigns across the full activation funnel
  • Actively partner with stakeholders in Sales (Sales Strategy, Retail Activation, E-Commerce, Customer Teams) and at the Retailer to build plans that allow their shoppers to experience our brands in holistic and unique ways
  • Stay informed of the fast-changing shopper marketing landscape .  Continuously pay that learning forward to our commercial teams. Use learnings to strengthen shopper marketing plans
  • Execute with financial rigor , managing and optimizing investment in shopper marketing
  • Effectively manage one external agency to deliver bold, effective shopper marketing plans that are win for the brand, the customer, and the shopper

Job Complexity:

  • Provide strategic shopper marketing thought leadership to partners across Sales and Marketing functions and with leadership across the Division.
  • Manage communication, financials, and alignment across a broad set of cross functional partners
  • Manage changes in plan based on retail operations, sell in and execution
  • Develop "white space" opportunities and bring concepts to execution
  • Ensure agencies are delivering on strategic objectives

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of experience in Digital or Shopper Marketing, Marketing, Customer Marketing, or working at a creative agency with proven success
  • Business and analytical acumen with the ability to link seemingly disparate pieces of information
  • Self-starter, independent thinker, action oriented, and passionate about shopper marketing
  • Detail orientated, reliable, resourceful, and driven for results professional
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to effectively present ideas and concepts to groups of varying levels internally and externally
  • Ability to contribute, influence and work effectively in a cross-functional matrix organization
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize/work effectively under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity

Travel: Up to 20% Travel required

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$115,300-$165,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
