Job Description

**Shipyard Laborers (Welders, Helpers, and Firewatch) - CAMP PENDLETON** **Details** Repair facility environment at ACU-5 Camp Pendleton. LCAC's are housed in large hangars or on the tarmac. + Employees will be working both indoors and outdoors and must be comfortable working in hot/cold weather. + Employees are required to wear STEEL TOE shoes (non-negotiable). + Safety hats, safety glasses, and gloves will be provided at the job site. **Job Description** + Helper personnel provide support to all functional areas of LCAC refurbishment efforts. Duties include: + Picking, handling, and organization of materials and tools. + Serve as an assistant to ship fitters, mechanics, electricians, and welders. + Clean work and office areas as needed. + stand around watch welders weld and some sweeping **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 1 year of tenure in a mechanical capacity at the most recent job. + Previous experience in shipyard or construction environments is ideal but not mandatory. + Must have good attention to detail, candidate will be watching welders weld to ensure they do not spark any fires + General mechanical aptitude is a plus + Attendance + Must be able to stay focused during whole shift **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
