Job Description

About us

At TechMD, we believe that happy employees lead to a better work environment, which in turn leads to a better experience for our clients. We’re constantly working to improve company culture, whether it’s through company-wide events or smaller, day-to-day things. We also have exciting opportunities for employees to get involved in the community, through volunteering and fundraising initiatives.

Position Overview:
The Marketing and Events Coordinator plays a key role in driving our marketing efforts by planning, organizing, and executing initiatives that generate leads, enhance brand awareness, and strengthen client engagement for our fast-growing IT managed services provider (MSP) organization.

We seek an innovative and detail-oriented professional with experience in B2B and/or technology marketing who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.  This team member will manage the execution of marketing campaigns and in-person and virtual events, ensuring each initiative is seamlessly aligned with TechMD’s overall marketing strategy to achieve impactful results. The ideal candidate demonstrates creativity in campaign development, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Management
  • Develop event concepts and marketing plans that ensure maximum attendance and engagement.
  • Develop promotional campaigns and materials to drive interest, engagement, and attendance – through various channels like email, social media, website, and press releases – including development of landing pages and video content.
  • Perform all activities to ensure successful events, including selecting venues, creating and managing detailed event agendas, and coordinating with vendors to secure services like catering, rentals, and entertainment.
  • Oversee event setup, manage event staff, and address any issues that arise during the event.
  • Provide on-site management of events for assigned territories.
Marketing Coordination
  • Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring online conversations.
  • Support the sales team with marketing collateral and lead generation initiatives.
  • Maintain and update HubSpot prospect/client databases to ensure accurate information for targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing materials that align with the company's brand and messaging.
  • Track and report on marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Assist in managing marketing budgets by tracking expenses and allocating funds effectively.
Required
  • Proven ability to generate innovative and engaging event marketing ideas that resonate with target audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, including Google Analytics, social media advertising, email marketing tools, and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with event management software, such as GoToMeeting and Microsoft Teams, to facilitate seamless virtual and hybrid events.
  • Proficiency in developing, editing, and producing marketing materials, including video content and photography, to support campaigns and events.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey marketing strategies and concepts to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including airline travel, based on the marketing calendar and event schedule.

Preferred

  • Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to assist with creative content development.
  • Base compensation ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
