Job Title: Mechanical Designer Job Description We are looking for a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on product design and improvement, taking customer requirements, specifications, functionality, cost, and manufacturability into account. You will interface with Sales, Manufacturing, Vendors, Engineering, R&D, and other departments. You will also support R&D with various Mechanical Engineering tasks, including testing and developing test protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is essential. Responsibilities Design and improve mechanical products based on customer requirements and specifications. Interface with Sales, Manufacturing (including outside suppliers), Vendors, Engineering (including Electrical Engineering), R&D, and others. Support R&D with mechanical engineering tasks, including testing and developing test protocols. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Independently research and validate various subjects using online resources. Travel as required (less than 5%). Essential Skills 3-7 years of mechanical design experience. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD). Experience in machine design and mechanical drafting/design. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Inventor software. Experience in designing industrial equipment (e.g., conveyors, feeders, dishwasher equipment). Ability to understand new processes and work with new products/teams. Team player with strong communication skills. Work Environment You will be part of a team with approximately 125 employees and will report to the Engineering Manager. You will work alongside a dynamic team, with team size varying but typically starting with 2-3 teammates. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility for an 8-hour workday.
