The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 50% (20 hours a week) Medical Assistant II (MA II) to work at our UICC West Branch Clinic . This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.
For nearly 50 years, the health and wellness of our patients has been our primary focus. We see patients for pregnancy care, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute care visits, annual physicals, regular check-ups, mental health, on-site laboratory services and more. Our team develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. That specialist will consult the same medical record your family medicine provider has been keeping for you, so your specialty care is streamlined.

Summary:
Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM/ANM (nurse manager/assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.

Percent of Time: 50% (20 hours per week)
Schedule: Variable hours between Monday 12:00 – 5:00 (4-hour shift), Tuesday 7:30 – 5:00 (8-hour shift), Thursday 7:30 – 5:00 (8-hour shift). No Wednesdays, Fridays, or weekends. No on call time or holidays required.
Location: West Branch (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Pay Grade: 9
Salary: $40,110.48 - $59,570.64 (at 100% time)/ Hourly: $19.21 - $28.53 (based on years of experience)
