Job Description

Actalent Services is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scribe to support a physician in a family practice setting. The role involves taking notes, performing documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and gathering information for patient visits. The ideal candidate will be able to use an EMR system proficiently and provide front-of-house support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician by taking notes and performing documentation in the EMR system.

• Gather and organize information for patient visits.

• Room patients and ensure they are prepared for their consultation.

• Provide front-of-house support as needed, including administrative tasks.

Essential Skills

• Certified Medical Assistant certification.

• 1+ year of experience rooming patients in a specialist's office or primary care practice.

• 1+ year of experience working with an EMR system.

• 1+ year of experience with EPIC software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in family practice.

• Ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.

• A proactive and 'go-getter' attitude.

Work Environment

The position is based in a clinical setting within a family practice. The physician is open to training a candidate who demonstrates a proactive attitude. The benefits package includes all paid federal holidays and 10% of worked hours as paid time off (PTO).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
