Medical Records Clerk Location Hybrid work in Dallas, TX :

OUI Medical Inc. is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our administrative team. The Medical Records Clerk plays a critical role in managing patient information, maintaining the accuracy and security of medical files, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

You will handle sensitive patient documents, organize files, update records into our electronic systems, and coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure all medical documentation is complete and accurate. If you are organized, dependable, and passionate about healthcare support work, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and maintain patient medical records and charts
  • Accurately input patient information into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information
  • Retrieve medical records for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers as needed
  • Process requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, and legal offices
  • Audit files regularly to ensure completeness and compliance
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing physical and electronic medical documents
  • Communicate with clinics, hospitals, and labs regarding patient information
  • Handle general administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Prior experience in a medical office or health records management (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations (must know or willing to learn)
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (training can be provided)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong communication and data entry skills
