DS Technologies Inc is looking for Network Engineer role for one of our premier clients.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Network Engineer specializing in internet routing for a 6-month remote contract. This role requires deep expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, with a strong focus on routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate leadership capabilities with 1 2 years of supervisory experience and a commitment to high availability and secure networking practices.

Position:
Principal Network Engineer Internet Routing Focus

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement large-scale internet routing infrastructure

• Optimize and scale network performance to meet organizational needs

• Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams

• Troubleshoot complex routing and network issues

• Plan and implement redundancy and disaster recovery solutions

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

• Stay current with evolving network technologies and best practices

Requirement Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering

• Expertise in internet architecture, IXPs, and transit networks

• Experience with DDoS mitigation, IP filtering, and secure routing practices

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

• Familiarity with disaster recovery practices for network infrastructure

• Flexible availability for after-hours work and on-call support

• 1 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active CCNP or higher certification

• Experience with Cisco and Arista networking equipment

• Python scripting for network automation

• Familiarity with Git and GitHub for source control

• Strong project management and multitasking abilities

Additional Information:

• Contract Duration: 6 months

• Work Hours: Must be flexible and participate in on-call rotation

• Start Date: Immediate or as per mutual availability

• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Candidate Details:

• Should have a proven record in managing internet routing at scale

• Able to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

• Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and a strong troubleshooting mindset
