Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.

The AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE Program at Syracuse University seeks to hire a Part-Time Instructor for face-to-face ASL instruction for the Spring 2024 semester.
The Part-Time Instructor should be able to teach one section of ASL 101 (level 1) and potentially one section of ASL 102 (level 2) or ASL 201 (level 3).
Teaching responsibilities will include instruction of four-credits of ASL per course (with approx. four contact hours per week), student consultations, test administration and grading, and the use of technology to enhance learning in the classroom.
This position is a one-semester appointment, with possible renewal based on need and funding.
Hand dexterity sufficient to demonstrate positions and movements.
