Job Summary: Ensures department maintains cohesive relations with other departments in the Company and provides exceptional customer service to all internal retail and external wholesale customers. Strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives through proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, and merchandising. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Complies with all factory requirements and follows all guidelines set by our manufacturers. Maintains minimum training certification levels as set forth by our manufacturers.
  • Responsible for placing daily orders, supervising stock order procedures, receipting, posting inventory and special orders.
  • Analyzes sales, expenses and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing. Monitors daily invoices and sales productivity.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Inventory Management Responsibilities:
  • Assure stocking levels are sufficient to meet customer demands.
  • Utilize inventory reports to manage inventory levels daily. Identify areas not aligned with department goals and takes action to resolve.
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence (less than 10% in stock parts and accessories in inventory over 360 days).
  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with our manufacturer’s requirements and that of the service department and retail.
Warranty Parts Management Responsibilities: * Ensures full compliance with all procedures, policies and rules regarding the maintenance of warranty parts as set by the manufacturer. Returns Processing Responsibilities: * Ensure core, warranty, manufacturer and aftermarket parts returns are processed accurately, timely, and in full compliance with all policies and procedures. Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ability to effectively manage inventory on a daily basis including lost sales tracking, parts fill ratio and overall parts inventory turn times required.
  • Must utilize effective time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at one time.
  • Strong computer aptitude, specifically with Company management systems, factory computer systems and Excel required.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards of service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with the public, vendors and all employees of the Company.
  • Travel to other Company locations along with manufacturer training and other relevant training courses required.
  • Valid driver’s license for occasional travel required.
  • A professional appearance and manner consistent with the Company’s culture must be maintained.
