/Duties:

• Use and layout portable welding equipment (i.e., SMAW, SMAW, and GTAW).
• Weld specialty alloys including carbon and stainless steel.
• Set-up, operate, and test equipment for welding.
• Maintain, fabricate, repair, and calibrate tools and equipment to requirements.
• Make quality welds for subsequent inspection/testing in restricted/limited positions.
• Read and interrupt mechanical drawings, blueprints, and weld data cards.
• Record data on required forms.
• Read and understand welding program, symbols, and procedures.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• 3 years of welding experience and/or Trade School certification.
• Completion of all testing requirements.
• Nuclear experience preferred.
• Ability to work in extreme heat conditions and confined spaces.
• High School diploma or GED.
