Job Description
Plant Health Data Analyst for Chesterfield, MO to derive actionable insights from plant health data to inform trait recommendations aligned with precision breeding programs; drive data modeling capabilities for plant health risk assessment team; build visualization capabilities & tools for risk assessment; automate quality control & interpretation of plant health data output; collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align plant health data flow mapping & ensure data flow to stakeholders for business decision-making and R&D product advancement; develop & apply machine learning, big data analytics, data visualization and predictive and statistical modeling techniques. Requires Master’s in Data Science, Operations Research or closely related field & 1yr experience developing cloud-based predictive models with machine learning tools to enhance data quality, streamline data analysis, and improve data integration processes; analyzing datasets using R, Python, SAS, AWS, HTML, SQL and/or Spark to inform plant breeding and/or genomics project decision-making, including risk and ROI analysis; developing machine learning, artificial intelligence and/or statistical methodologies for data collection and/or quality control for plant breeding programs; performing data quality assessment & control, manipulation, transformation, and visualization for large-scale, diverse datasets; and developing predictive models for plant health risk assessment through concept ideation, algorithm selection, feature engineering, validation, deployment, & monitoring.Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of Chesterfield, MO up to four days per week.Mail resume to Cascinda Fischbeck, Bayer Research and Development Services, LLC, 800 N.
