Job Description
Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in southern Minnesota who is seeking an experienced Plant Manager. This person is going to be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of their processing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance while managing a team of department leaders. This is going to be a start-up environment so looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
Qualifications:
* 5-10+ years Plant Managmement
* Need to have experience with high-volume pork processing, smoked meats
* Plant start-up/experience within a growth environment highly preferred!
* Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
* Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with full operation management team which includes maintenance, QA, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resources
* Ensure company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employees
* Analyze production performance records and data
* Ensure operating equipment are running smoothly and effectively
* Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
* Maintain workflow by monitoring and developing processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staff
* Execute product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow
Plant expected to be around 300 employees
Targeting 130k-150k base
