Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

  • I require candidates to have a Bachelor's degree or four additional years of network experience in lieu of a degree. You should have over 7 years of related network experience, including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers. Experience with deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment, including Juniper, F5, and Nutanix, is essential. Additionally, knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required. You must also have a solid understanding of LANs, firewalls, routers, and switches. Certification at IAT Level II or higher must be obtained within six months of hire.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Principal Cyber Network Engineer, I expect you to provide insights into efficiencies that can be gained from current workflows based on an understanding of customer requirements. You'll work closely with engineers on troubleshooting and building complex, highly available network topologies. Your role will include engineering support and system administration for applications and systems, involving installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore tasks. You will provide Tier 2/3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed technologies and support Assessment and Authorization activities related to cybersecurity technologies when applicable. Additionally, I need you to identify potential conflicts with the implementation of cybersecurity tools and develop recommendations to resolve these conflicts. You should also contribute ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection using scripts, assisting with testing and implementation into the production environment.

Preferred qualifications for this position include knowledge of federal Cyber Security Guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 and NIST 800-137. For security clearance, you must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. The physical requirements for this position include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with colleagues, management, and customers through various communication methods, which may involve delivering presentations.
