Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Elementary Teacher to join our Program. This unique role involves delivering high-quality instruction in both in-person and home-based learning environments. Students attend classes on campus two days a week and engage in at-home learning for the remaining three days. The ideal candidate will create engaging, Christ-centered learning experiences, collaborate with parents (co-teachers), and provide instructional resources that support student success in a hybrid setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Delivery:

Design and implement engaging lessons tailored for both in-person and home-based learning.

Deliver dynamic, student-centered instruction on campus two days a week, ensuring alignment with curriculum goals and standards.

Develop clear, detailed at-home assignments and instructional resources that support independent learning with parental guidance.

Provide virtual instructional materials and conduct periodic check-ins with students on remote learning days to monitor progress and offer support.

Parental Collaboration:

Maintain consistent communication with parents to guide and support them in facilitating at-home learning.

Offer strategies and resources to help parents create effective home learning environments.

Conduct virtual or in-person conferences with parents to discuss student progress, challenges, and successes, fostering a strong home-school partnership.

Curriculum Development:

Develop and adapt lesson plans that seamlessly integrate in-person and home learning experiences.

Incorporate technology and digital learning tools to enhance the hybrid learning model.

Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure curriculum consistency and alignment within the hybrid program.

Assessment and Feedback:

Review and assess student work completed during home-based learning, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Monitor student progress in both learning environments, adjusting instructional approaches to meet diverse learning needs.

Utilize a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student understanding and inform instructional strategies.

Classroom and Online Management:

Foster a Christ-centered, positive, and engaging learning environment both in-person and remotely.

Establish and communicate clear expectations for student behavior, assignments, and deadlines.

Effectively utilize learning management systems and digital platforms for classroom management and communication with students and parents.

Professional Development and Team Collaboration:

Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and collaborative planning sessions to enhance instructional effectiveness.

Share ideas, resources, and best practices with colleagues to strengthen the hybrid learning experience for students.

Spiritual & Mission Alignment:

Demonstrate a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and uphold biblical integrity in all aspects of teaching and interactions.

Maintain active membership in a local church and fully support the mission and values of the school.

Foster meaningful connections with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a faith-based learning environment.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Education (minimum requirement).

ACSI Certification (or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe).

Experience:

2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a hybrid, online, or blended learning environment.

Prior experience in Christian education is highly preferred.

Familiarity with hybrid learning methodologies and educational technology tools.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) to create and manage instructional materials.

Ability to develop basic Google Sheets spreadsheets with simple calculations.

Experience using learning management systems such as RenWeb and Google Classroom.

Key Competencies & Additional Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and adaptability.

Demonstrates a spirit of dedication, flexibility, and responsiveness to meet student and parent needs in a hybrid learning environment.
