Registered Nurse – Postpartum Care Nurse

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in postpartum or maternal-newborn nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care, breastfeeding support, and postpartum recovery.
• Excellent patient education and communication skills.

Duties:

• Provide nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns.
• Assess maternal healing, monitor vital signs, and manage pain control.
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor newborn vital signs, feeding patterns, and jaundice risk.
• Support emotional and psychological well-being for new mothers and families.
• Recognize signs of postpartum complications and intervene accordingly.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education accurately.
