Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services to students with disabilities in a school district in Orange County New York (NY). The RN/LPN will be responsible for providing direct care and required support to students in the school district. The ideal candidate will have a current New York State nursing license and a minimum of two (2) years experience as an RN or LPN.

Requirements:
Valid New York State nursing license
Minimum of two (2) years experience as an RN or LPN
CPR certification
Pediatric nursing and/or ICU nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments and provide necessary interventions.
Deliver direct care including feeding dressing medication administration and respiratory care (including ventilator management).
Support and accompany student(s) on the bus and within the school environment.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing records including evaluations progress notes treatment logs and updates to care plans in compliance with District policies.
Communicate effectively with other healthcare workers to share information about the student s care treatment responses and progress toward care plan goals.
Administer treatments and medications to students in accordance with physicians orders and District policies.
Other duties as assigned by the Districts administration.
