Oversees and develops business processes for the administration of SRP Power Purchase, Energy Storage, and other resource-related agreements. Leads a team and is responsible for ensuring SRP compliance with ongoing agreement terms, enforcing performance obligations of counterparties, negotiating significant contract amendments, resolving disputes, and collaborating with other impacted business units.
This is a position that requires a leader who is able to manage multiple priorities and interface effectively with leadership internal and external stakeholders. The successful administration of these resource contracts is critical to ensuring that SRP is properly managing risk, receiving the best value for customers, and able to provide reliable, sustainable, and affordable power. SRP has over 40 power purchase and energy storage agreements and it is expected that this will more than double in the next decade, creating a need for a significant level of management and oversight.
The ideal candidate for this position would also have the following skills and capabilities:
A minimum of eight years of related experience is required (if no degree, 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 12 years).
A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
