**Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and control access points to the distribution center, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles enter the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to detect and prevent security breaches, vandalism, and theft.
- Maintain a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; take appropriate action and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Conduct check-ins and check-outs of incoming and outgoing trailers, containers, and personnel
- Enforce company policies related to safety and security, ensuring compliance among employees and visitors.
- Prepare and submit reports on security incidents, inspections, and activities during each shift.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors, assisting with inquiries and directing them as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a related field.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Basic phone skills for report writing and incident documentation.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Valid state security guard license.
