Hoisting Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries division in the West. You will be mainly accountable for: • Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category. • Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively. • Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers. • Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth. Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum Engineering Degree required in a related field, preferably Mechanical.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with industrial systems.
  • Mine hoist systems knowledge and experience are a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and brake control systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and SolidWorks 3D modelling would be an asset.
  • Experience in the Mining Industry would be an asset.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in Canada, United States and Mexico as required.
  • Travel will be required, including internationally.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
